Houseplants

Houseplants are a wonderful way to add warmth and color to your home and office. And there’s a growing trend to bring tropical plants outdoors during the summer to create your own tropical paradise.

We invite you to take a stroll through our tropical greenhouses, where you’ll be greeted with a dazzling display of gorgeous houseplants, a heavenly fragrance and smiling, helpful horticulturists to answer all your questions.

From small tabletop plants to climbing plants to dramatic plants for large spaces, we carry thousands of different flowering and foliage plants. You’ll find orchids, African violets, cyclamen, jasmine, palms, ferns and many, many other exquisite plants.

If you’re hesitant to bring home some of these beautiful plants because you’re not sure how to take care of them, we’re here to help you be successful in your gardening. We encourage you to try houseplants, because we know that if you love playing in the dirt outdoors, you’re going to love it indoors, too.

Listed below are some of the more popular varieties that we typically stock during the season. We carry plants that can grow in all light levels, from bright light to very low light. Our Plant Specialists can help you understand the different light levels and guide you on plant selections. The following is a partial listing of some of the more popular indoor plants you can find at Merrifield Garden Center that grow in various light conditions. However, due to various reasons, we may not have every variety in stock at all times. To make sure that we have the exact variety you’re looking for in stock, please call us.
